Difference Between Wood and Fiberglass Entry Doors

Entry Door Project in Anaheim Hills
This is one of the latest Entry Door systems we installed in Anaheim Hills. Don’t leave your entry door installation up to a handyman, Big Box or a company that doesn’t know all the nuances of perfect installation.
The previous entry door system for this upscale home in Anaheim Hills did not let in enough natural light and was not complementary to the home. The new owners were less concerned with glass opacity and more concerned with the amount of decorative glass that they could get in the doors. As you can see, the old doors (30″ x 80″) had larger posts built between the doors and sidelights. We were able to increase the new door size to 32″ by reducing the size of the posts, thereby increasing the amount of available entry door selections.
Most fiberglass door manufacturers do not offer a wide selection of narrow doors that are so popular in Southern California.
Today’s Entry Doors configured the new entry door system to the exact overall size of the old system and fit it snugly back into place so we could reuse the existing house trim. To increase the aesthetics of the new doors, the doors were painted a split color, one particular white on the outside and another on the inside and added new door hardware. Often the old saddle threshold will extend beyond the interior walls and once removed leave a “floor gap”. We will grout if you have tile or stone, or put a floor piece down to finish the job.
